On the one side is Infinity's wonderful Toy Box mode, a creative playpen that gives players an opportunity to make their own games and levels, even if the exhaustive tools that are available often make the mode more intimidating than intuitive.
The Disney Infinity series, too, has had games that showcase plenty of contrasts. It was an interesting contrast-my son hitting the one button over and over while I tried to make the most of the improved combat in Infinity, both of us having fun in our own way. My six-year-old son-in charge of yet-to-be mass murderer Anakin Skywalker (spoiler)-button mashed away, and was making as much of an impact on General Grievous' health as I was. It was released in December 2015, the same month the software became available on the platform.There I was, trying (and only occasionally succeeding) in the timing of some of Ahsoka Tano's combat combos in Disney Infinity 3.0. The base that comes with the game is colored a two-toned black instead of the standard white-grey of the other versions. Taking its place is a piece of paper telling less tech-savvy owners where to find and download the software from the Apple TV App Store, and a Made for iOS controller, the SteelSeries Nimbus wireless gaming controller. The starter pack does not come with a copy of the software, as it is a digitally-downloaded app. While it has most of the content found in the standard starter pack, including Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker, the Twilight of the Republic Play Set and a Web Code Card, it has some notable differences.
